Everton Prevail!

Everton secured a comfortable win against Oldham Athletic, winning 3 to 1.  Mirallas scored the opening goal, a calm finish that was slotted right past the keeper.  Baines was able to successfully convert a penalty kick, and Leon Osman headed in for three.
With the result of this game, Everton will be confident heading into their next match.  Kevin Mirallas has shown he has the potential to be a powerful player, and Baines and Osman continue their dream season.  COYB!

Loss to Manchester United....and what the @$%@! happened to Jelavic!?

Well, a saddening 2-0 loss to Manchester United deprived our boys of the glory of two wins this season against the current first-place team in the Barclay's Premier League.  Fellaini scored with a header off a Leighton Baine's corner-kick the first go-around, leading Everton to a one nil victory.  This time, however, their would be no glory for the big Belgium.
Ryan Giggs and Robin van Persie each scored against the Toffees, leading Man U to a comfortable victory over the high-flying Merseyside outfit.  Even Kevin Mirallas, back from injury, couldn't help Everton.
Even more disturbingly, Nikica Jelavic has been less than lethal the last few games, even losing his starting position to Victor Anichebe for Sunday's game against Manchester United.  The Croatian's form has a drastic effect on Everton's Champion's League hopes, and will need to be back in top form soon.
Meanwhile, Victor Anichebe has put a few goals in, and Kevin Mirallas continues to be an attacking threat.  Steven Naismith assures fans we have not yet seen him at his full powers, still, the Scot has put a few goals in  for Everton from the the right winger position, and represents a solid back-up for Kevin Mirallas, and even a fine starter.  Champion's League qualifications, or at the very least Europa League qualifications, seem imminent.  COYB!
